Itinerary
The "Essential London Full Day Tour" starts in Westminster District, where the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, St. James's Park, and glorious Buckingham Palace await your arrival. This part of the tour will be completed by 11:00 so that you can witness the famous ‘Changing of the Guard Ceremony’ at 11:30 am (if applicable on the day you take this tour). As you travel along the Mall, or preferably London's Central Park and St. James's Park, you will reach Whitehall and Downing Street No: 10. Along Whitehall, you will walk to Trafalgar Square where you will observe Nelson's Column, The National Gallery, and St. Martin's in the Fields Church. The exciting and wonderful stories of each of these historical landmarks will be told, giving you an insight into the history of London.
Then you will have time for either a relaxing lunch or a quick bite (depending on the current situation) to re-energize before experiencing more hidden treasures, tastes, and cultures. You will proceed to the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, passing London's new pedestrian-only Millenium Bridge, before reaching Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece ‘St Paul's Cathedral’; the seat of the Bishop Of London. The Cathedral is a storehouse of history and story-telling itself, where the Monument will expose the truth of who, exactly, started the infamous London fire.
Next on the agenda is the beautiful Tower of London, via a glance at the world's mistakenly named original and ordinary London Bridge. You will be shown the very best vantage point for viewing and photographing the iconic Tower Bridge, before waving to the ferry passengers which signifies ‘good luck’. It is the customary gesture of sending our very best wishes from the land to the sea! If time permits, you will take a break at St Katharine Docks and will visit London's most traditional pub, Dickens Inn, where you can taste the top 10 brands of beers in England or a traditional afternoon tea.
