Itinerary
This Tour has been put together following the popularity of TV dramas 'Tudors', 'White Queen' and 'Wolf Hall' which have put the spotlight on those infamous Tudors once again. We shall also be taking a little trip downstream of the River Thames to visit Hampton Court Palace, the top Tudor destination in Great Britain - and one visited by all of the characters in Hilary Mantel's award-winning novel 'Wolf Hall'. Our journey out of London will take in the picturesque Royal Richmond Park before arriving at the world famous Palace built by Cardinal Wolsey 500 years ago, and home to one of England's most notorious kings Henry VIII for his turbulent reign. 2016 was the Year of the English Garden, and we have 8 formal gardens to explore and even have a Maze to get lost in.
Upon leaving your hotel, you will begin a Panoramic Tour to take in London's Royal Palaces, both past and present. You will dwell awhile at each location so that you can learn the historical facts and some amusing anecdotes. Our Royal London tour will include the Tower of London, Whitehall Palace, Palace of Westminster, St. James's Palace, Buckingham Palace, Lady Diana’s Kensington Palace and Richmond Park. You will work your way west to Hampton Court Palace where you can enjoy a mid-morning coffee break at the Palace's Tiltyard Cafe.
You will then visit both Henry VIII's Tudor Palace and William III's Baroque Palace before enjoying a stroll in the unique historical Gardens.
You can reflect on your Tour of London's Royal Palaces with a visit to a local pub for some traditional English cooking before you can relax back in the comfort of a private transportation.
