Itinerary
It is time to take you to London while you wait for your Hogwarts letter at 4 Privet Drive, Surrey. It is important to note that this tour should not be confused with the one offered by Warner Bros’ Making of Harry Potter Backlot Tour in Hertfordshire (North London). That is a totally different one.
Now to make the magic into reality. The tour begins at Kings Cross, the front gate of St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel where Harry and Ron parked Mr Weasley’s flying Ford Anglia in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets series. You will also learn the history of this magnificent Hotel during the tour. Your next stop is Kings Cross’ famous Platform 9 ¾ in Kings Cross Station where you pretend to push an old-times trolley full of luggage through the magical wall on the way of Hogwarts. As you do so, a camera will take your photo so remember to smile! (Waiting time can take up to 2 hours!). A quick break for the time in the official Harry Potter shop where you can find all Harry Potter sealed products exclusively. Then it’s time to visit Leaky Cauldron in London’s pretty Leadenhall Market, Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley. You will realize that the store is an optician actually. With a very short walk, you can visit the Monument and climb the stairs. Why? So that you can see both Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. You will remember both sites from while Harry Potter flies over the Thames in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film. It’s an optional extension if you require. Before you visit Westminster Tube Station, you will go to the Millennium Bridge that was destroyed by Death Eaters and Fenrir Greyback. You will also be able to see Tate Modern there. Being close to Temple station, you will go to Gringotts Wizarding Bank where dozens of goblins working under cobwebbed chandeliers. That’s Australia House in Strand we see in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Time to pass Westminster Tube Station where Mr Arthur Weasley struggles to pass through the gates on the way to the Ministry of Magic. Like Harry, you will use your travelcards to pass through the gates. A short walk through London’s landmark will bring us to the entrance of Ministry of Magic again from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Our hero trio goes on the Run from Death Eaters at Bill and Fleur’s wedding in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry, Ron and Hermione apparated straight to Piccadilly Circus where our tour terminates.
