Windsor Castle and Eton College Tour, the great day out with the picturesque towns of Eton and Windsor are a must. Windsor and Eton, together with Windsor Bridge, are two cities in Berkshire, the south-east of England separated from the River Thames. Windsor Castle is an ancient town most famous for its Castle which was built in 1075 and which is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world from the Brocas Meadows in the town of Berkshire. It has been the home to 39 monarchs since it was founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century. The Queen's most private weekend today is spent in the Castle. Windsor Castle boasts State Apartments, Semi-State Rooms, Grand Reception Room, St George’s Chapel as well as Changing the Guard Ceremony (If available on the tour date). After your exploration of Windsor Castle, you will proceed to beautiful Eton. Eton is a smaller town, dominated by Eton College, an old public school that trains many English people, those that become politicians, judges and diplomats. Eton, the famous school for boys, where Princes William and Harry both participated, as well as boys dressed in traditional Black Tails, and Runnymede, signed in 1215 by the Magna Carta. Today, you will enjoy your day at two major Royal highlights in Greater London.
